Taken Nov 2007 with a Nikon D80 and Nikon 18-70 f/3.5 lens
DescriptionThe home of horse racing (and the original home of polo) in Barbados. In the bottom left of the photo can be seen historic buildings such as the old regimental barracks which are now the home of the Barbados Defence Force, and the old Officers Club with clock tower which now houses the Savannah Club and the offices of the Barbados Legion. At bottom center you can see the old fort walls, beneath which was the powder magazine, as well as the old road that used to be public access to the Drill Hall beach. Continuing around in a counter-clockwise direction there is the Police Station, and opposite is Brigade House. The Red buildings upper right are now the home of the Caribbean Examinations Council.
